Job Description
Responsibilities include:
- Develop structuring models for energy assets (renewables, energy storage, thermal assets, and power and weather derivatives) and complex transactions (power generation, tolling, load following/full requirements, sales off of assets, acquisitions, storage option, fuel transportation, and long-term fixed price energy purchases/sales) to support the Trading desks, Origination, Business Development and M&A activities.
- Design and implement models and statistical analyses to evaluate asset and portfolio performance and to assess the impact of hedge strategies.
- Monitor power market trends, regulatory developments, and economic conditions to enhance structuring valuations and strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders.
Educational and professional requirements include a quantitative bachelor’s degree (advanced degree preferred): 3-5+ years of experience focused on power or natural gas asset structuring, derivative valuation, or energy consulting with a focus on asset valuations; strong pricing analytical and quantitative skills; advanced proficiency in Excel (macros, VBA) with Python skills a plus; and excellent communication skills.
Employees work three days in the office and two days remotely.
