Job Description


A competitive integrated energy company is expanding its crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and LPG trading platform and is searching for a Commodity Valuation Risk Manager to join its team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of commodity markets (crude oil, refined products, etc.) and be able to assess and mitigate risks related to commodity valuation. The role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and interpersonal abilities. The position has a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage risk related to commodity valuation, including monitoring market trends, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Work closely with traders, analysts, and other stakeholders to analyze market data, evaluate trading positions, and assess risk exposure
  • Develop and maintain valuation models and methodologies for various commodity types and ensure consistency and accuracy in the valuation process.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Produce timely and accurate reports to senior management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and implement improvements to risk management processes and systems.
  • Provide training and support to other team members on commodity valuation and risk management.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. 
  • At least 5 years of experience in commodity trading or risk management for crude oil, refined products, or other related commodities.
  • Extensive knowledge of commodity markets and valuation methodologies, with experience in developing and implementing valuation models.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as ETRM systems (Triplepoint CXL, GlobalView) and analytical tools (Power BI).
